Ad Hoc Task Force on Entrepreneurship
2004 Report
The Ad Hoc Task Force on Entrepreneurship met during the year with officials of the Department of Labor Office (DoL) of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and Small Business Administration (SBA) concerning the Strategic Alliance signed last year between SBA and DoL. The task force also produced a discussion paper on proposals and strategies for broadening small business opportunities for people with disabilities. In the fall, members of the task force – along with members of the Employment and Training Task Force – conferred with Congressional staff on development of a legislative proposal that may be introduced in the 109th Congress to promote entrepreneurship for people with disabilities. In 2005, the task force recommends that these issues be pursued within the context of the Employment and Training Task Force.
