- The task force distributed action alerts, sign-on letters and a petition to Congress to ensure continued funding of The National Children's Study, which is a longitudinal evaluation of the effects of chemical, biological, physical and other psychosocial factors that can adversely affect children from pre-pregnancy to age 21.
- The task force worked to counter the proposal of the Environmental Protection Agency to weaken the requirements for reporting data to the Toxics Release Inventory. An action alert was issued in support of the Pallone-Sollis Right to Know Amendment, which countered the EPA’s effort. The amendment was eventually included in the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies Appropriations bill
