CCD Paid Leave Ad Hoc Task Force Comments on the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers
The Paid Leave Ad Hoc Task Force focused on paid leave policy and will focus our comments on that subject. We would urge the Advisory Councils to focus on the following three topics which overlap the goals that have already been identified: 1) Highlighting the importance of enacting a paid family and medical leave program that has a broad family definition and includes all workers.

Updated CCD Paid Leave Principles
The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) is the largest coalition of national organizations working together to advocate for federal public policy that ensures the self-determination, independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in all aspects of society. In response to recent Congressional interest in paid parental, medical, and caregiving leave, CCD has convened am Ad Hoc Paid Leave Task Force.

CCD Principles for Paid Leave
The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) is the largest coalition of national organizations working together to advocate for federal public policy that ensures the self-determination, independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in all aspects of society. In response to recent Congressional interest in paid family, medical, and caregiving leave, CCD has convened a Cross-Task Force Working Group on Paid Leave. Despite recent expansions of paid leave in states and changes to the federal system, CCD believes that a national paid leave program is necessary.
